Dr. Shawn Weeks received his BA and MA in History from the University of New Mexico and a Doctor of Oriental Medicine in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College. He completed the prerequisites and exams to become a Western medical doctor, but after witnessing the effectiveness of Eastern medicine in treating a wide range of complaints, from chronic pain and allergies to digestive and mental health issues, he switched to Eastern medicine.
After years of studying specialist styles including Neuroacupuncture, Electroacupuncture, German Auricular Medicine, Kiiko Matsumoto Style, and Atlas 33 Structural Decompression, he has integrated key techniques to develop the new treatment modality of Neurelectric Acupuncture.
Neurelectric Acupuncture is highly effective for treating adult and pediatric neurological conditions, including neuropathy, multiple sclerosis, ADD/ADHD, hemiplegia, aphasia, post-stroke disorders. Dr. Weeks is passionate about treating ADHD and has been actively developing a specialized Neurelectric Acupuncture treatment for ADD/ADHD in adults and children.
Dr. Weeks is also trained in Advanced Allergy Therapeutics, a pain-free and noninvasive approach to treating inappropriate reactions to allergens. This technique is unparalleled in its ability to bring long-term relief to the body’s unpleasant responses to many sensitivities.
Aside from helping people feel their best and live lives free of pain, Dr. Weeks enjoys days filled with laughter, his wife, and his two daughters. He considers cooking his personal art form and greatly enjoys playing games, reading and writing.
