Neuroacupuncture Therapy

Neuroacupuncture

Neuroacupuncture is a modern acupuncture technique integrating traditional Chinese needling methods and Scalp Acupuncture with western medical knowledge of neurology, neuroscience, and neurological rehabilitation.

Dr. Weeks is part of the inaugural class in Neuroacupuncture taught by the acclaimed Neuroacupuncture Institute. His instruction in this modality enables him to implement this groundbreaking technique in his practice, offering relief from the numerous neurological disorders that benefit from Neuroacupuncture. In particular, Dr. Weeks has made a special study treating ADD/ADHD with Neuroacupuncture and has been seeing great results.

How it Works

Neuroacupuncture is an advanced acupuncture technique that directly accesses the central nervous and endocrine systems. It works by stimulating structural, metabolic, hormonal, and energetic reflex areas accessible at specific areas of the scalp. This acts to harmonize the functional activities of the brain and body, regulating the connection between the two.

What does it treat?

Neuro-acupuncture is an advanced skill, most effective in the treatment of acute and chronic central nervous system disorders, often producing remarkable results with just a few needles. NeuroAcupuncture WhatToExpect

What to Expect

To restore function and strength to the body and its organs, needles will be placed gently in the scalp. As Neuroacupuncturists are uniquely trained in this needling technique, they can quickly insert the needles with limited or no discomfort to the patient. After the thin needles are placed, they will be lightly manipulated to further stimulate the reflex areas of the scalp. Not all conditions respond immediately to Neuroacupuncture, but many do. Part of the initial consult with Dr. Weeks will include a treatment plan to get best results possible.
